Palimpsest and Material Senescence are two photographic series produced between 2012 and 2013 and published as artist's edition monographs in 2014. Made with medium-format film cameras at sites in and around Berlin, the photographs document abandoned architecture, weathering and ecological transformation, tracing the changing relationships between built structures, material decay and non-human processes.
