Queer spaces in Berlin since the 1970s
2021 – 2024
This research documents the histories and spatial practices of Berlin’s queer communities through oral history, LiDAR scanning and archival research. Developed in close collaboration with community organizations and venue operators, it considers queer spaces as sites of cultural production, memory and social infrastructure. The research resulted in the online archive and VR installation Scanning the Horizon alongside several publications and interviews.
